My Essential Tips for
Sex Toys
And the purchases I personally recommend!

1) Choose Your Material Wisely.
Your toys need to be NON-POROUS materials.
Meaning glass, metal, or silicone. No plastic. Not ever.
Even if you clean them, bacteria can get inside of these toys and cause infections.
2) Clean It. Always.
Never put a toy away dirty. To clean them, use a non-scented, antibacterial soap (a simple hand-wash soap will do!) - or boil your toy for at least 5 minutes. Boiling is Queen.
3) Lube Is Your Best Friend.
We love lube! There is absolutely zero shame in using lube. You produce different amounts of personal juices based on where you are in your cycle, your life, and your mood - so it’s a must! Water based lube is my favourite for less allergic reactions, and more compatibility with toys.
NEVER use silicone lube with a silicone toy or condom. If you're using oil - be careful what type of oil you’re putting inside yourself, as some can cause infections or pH imbalances. And if you want long lasting fun with lots of slide (but at the price of more clean up), silicone lube can be quite fun. But honestly, as long as there’s consent and sexual safety in mind, we love a little spit!
4) Leave the vibe behind.
For those of you who are looking to deeply connect with your body and revolutionize your pleasure on your own time - this is my absolute top advice. We love a little vibrator once and a while, but if you’re looking to deeply heal - give the vibe a rest for a while and use manual tools only.
A vibrator often disconnects you from your body - it may feel amazing, and you may believe it’s the only way to ‘get you off’ - but trust me, it can become your crutch. If you’re looking to change something about your sex life - this is step #1.
5) You will never learn more, than with a Pleasure Wand.
To activate a deeper sense of aliveness, and pussy power within you, I cannot recommend a curved pleasure wand more. A simple glass or crystal wand with a curved end (and not too thick) will be your #1 tool for getting deeper into your pleasure.
A wand encourages you to slow down. When you go slow, you connect with your body more. And if you then combine masterful pleasure techniques like the ones outlined in the ‘The Pleasure Portal’ (my 15-minute pleasure breathwork practice you can grab here) - oh wow. Then you can start to radically shift your inner world. You will be able to feel so much more pleasure.
Using a manual tool is essential. Especially one with a curve. The curve allows you to reach your G-spot, your cervix, and all the different angles in your pussy that need attention and love. There is so much emotion, sensation, and trauma that is stored in those delicate walls. Spend time getting to know where you are tender, where you are orgasmic, and where your body feels a little less. Invite in safety while being touched. I cannot begin to explain how transformational this sort of practice is.

6) Yoni Eggs are powerful tools for connecting to your pussy.
Yoni Eggs deepen your connection (both spiritually and physically) with your pussy. They come from the Taoist tradition and have been used for centuries. Some people use them to strengthen the pelvic floor, and that's a great use for them!
But I find that the most incredible way to use them involves creating a deeper, spiritual connection with the egg. It’s great for women who are looking to connect with and strengthen their relationship with their pussy.
I would recommend using either a clear crystal egg, a jade egg, or a rose quartz egg. The first two are very gentle, classic, and can be used for a variety of practices and purposes. The rose quartz is heart-centered and will help connect your heart to your pussy.
You'll be given the option to buy drilled or undrilled. A drilled egg simply means you can attach a string and helps remove it. It's not essential, but I find it helps me play with the egg in more ways. Do not re-use a string. Use non-waxed dental floss to string your yoni egg, and use a small soft toothpick to clean out the drilled hole.
For the size, generally larger for beginners, smaller for experts. Medium is a good place to begin if you're not sure, and if you haven't had children. If you have had children, a large egg might be a good place to start. I wouldn't recommend starting with a small egg, as it usually takes a few years of practice to be able to really feel the smallest one.

7) Anal play is a powerful portal to deeper pleasure.
Everyone has an a**hole! Don’t discount the beautiful pleasure that’s present there. Starting small, I highly recommend exploring the pleasure that’s present there with a silicone, metal, or glass butt plug. Try putting it in and doing yoga or dancing. Try putting it in while pleasuring your genitals. Don’t be afraid to try it out (but go extremely slowly) you may be very surprised by what you find!
Advice For Men:
If you’re ready to go deep into your pleasure - start with your prostate. You can use a curved ‘S’ wand to easily reach it on your own. This can be a little bit much for some - so definitely go slowly. But investigating the prostate and reading a book like “The Multi-Orgasmic Man’ by Mantak Chia (mentioned above) would be the #1 place to start.

❓ I have so many questions about sexual healing & somatic healing, I'm not sure where to start...
Cool, welcome! Honestly, there's too much to fit here. Which is why I've got an entire podcast episode dedicated to answering the first questions I always get around sexual healing & somatic healing (and more importantly how one can accomplish the other!)
I also tell you specifically how my method works and how it can work for you.
❓ I don’t seem to be able to have sex the way everyone else can. I’m worried that something is wrong with me. Am I broken?
No. You are not broken. You are perfectly normal.
There are hundreds of thousands of people who have gone through what you are going through. I went through something similar myself.
It’s likely that you weren’t told the whole truth (few people are), and you weren’t taught the sex tools that lead to mind-blowing sex!
For SO many, our sex education in school was basically about STIs and how NOT to get pregnant, right? That’s like teaching someone about cooking but only teaching them about how to not burn the food. We were only taught what NOT to do and the danger involved.
We were never taught about how to THRIVE! How to expand our pleasure and be absolutely orgasmic!
So no, it is far from your fault. And you are far from broken. You are perfect just the way you are.
❓ My pleasure doesn’t feel like a priority. Why is it important?
Your pleasure, is your sexual energy.
Your sexual energy, is your life force energy. It is the strongest form of energy that we have. It literally creates life itself - but it’s also the energy of creation.
So, your pleasure - is your life force energy.
When you are in touch with your literal life force, you can create incredible things. You step into your truest power. You become who you want to be. You become who you truly are.
So yes, hot sex is nice and all, but the real reason to work with your pleasure? It’s that your pleasure, and the way you experience life in sensual spaces, greatly influences how you show up for the rest of your life.
It gives you access to magnetism, karisma, confidence, and makes life feel like the most expansive, beautiful thing ever.
Tapping into this resource of inner power - is life-changing.
It changes you from the inside out.
❓ I know I need to feel 'safer' but I have no clue how to do that.
Safety is the most important part of sex. You need to feel safe before real pleasure can happen. Feeling safe is - a feeling. It's something you create from the inside out. Start by picturing in your minds eye (close your eyes) a place that feels safe to you. Your favourite place where everything feels peaceful. Then focus on how your body feels while imagining this. How does your heart feel? How are you breathing? Are your muscles tensed? This is the physical feeling of safety. Start practicing coming back to that feeling - at any moment. When you learn how to access this feeling at any time, you can learn how to bring it into any situation.
When you can access this feeling, you start to become more aware of the things that make you not feel that feeling, or take it away. Then you start to have a greater understanding on what in the bedroom, is specifically making you unsafe.
❓ I don't have time for my pleasure...
How would you feel if you were still where you are now, in 6 months? What about a year from now? What is the cost of staying still and not making progress? It only takes a few hours per week of your time. And you will start seeing the results immediately. You deserve to prioritize yourself & your happiness.
❓ I'm really not sure about spending money on my pleasure...
You invest in your career, your fitness, your appearance… but what about your pleasure? This is an investment in your confidence, relationships, and happiness. What is more important than feeling good in your body?
❓ How can I work on my pleasure if I'm single?
You totally can! This isn’t about just having better sex with a partner—it’s about unlocking YOUR pleasure, confidence, and self-love. Whether you're single or in a relationship, working on your pleasure will change your life.
❓ “But… what if I’ve never had an orgasm?”
This is actually extremely common. So many people (women especially) have never experienced orgasm, or only have them in certain ways. That doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you! It just means you haven’t had the right support or found the right information. Read one of the books above! Try The Pleasure Portal. Also: remember that the goal isn't an orgasm, focusing too heavily on any one 'goal' - usually doesn't get us the results were looking for. However, orgasm tends to be a natural side effect of learning to fully trust and enjoy your body!
❓ I tried this once and it didn't really do anything.
It takes continuous work to make a big change. Using your yoni egg once, or reading a book once, or trying a pleasure wand once, is great. But continuous use - application of the principals shared in the books, and dedication to your pleasure. Being accountable to your pleasure! That is essential. It needs to become second nature. It needs to become part of your routine! That's when you'll really start seeing a difference. That's when you'll get the lasting transformation you crave.
